On Janurary 5th I will be flying out of Boston Logan on US Airways to PHL and then onto ORD. I am a member of the United Red Carpet Club and I'm a Premier Executvie on United. While I know that I can access the club, I have a friend with me. I'm assuming that US Air allows United RCC people to take a guest the way that United does for US Air, but what if my friend is traveling on American Airlines at about the same time? American flies out of the same terminal in BOS but uses a different Security checkpoint. Does anyone know if someone w/ an AA boarding pass can go past USAir security and also if not, will the US Airways club issue my friend a gate pass? Thanks for the help!

Just did this in Tampa. An associate who was not a member of US Airways club traveling with me on the same day but with a different airline and terminal. Security just waived him by with me. No pass since he did have a ticket.

AA is Terminal A in PHL I believe. US has gates in that terminal. Club is B&C, BOS I believe lands at "B" In either case you will be behind common security and able to move freely until it is time for you to go to United, the you will need to re clear security due to the stunningly modern design of PHL. Your best bet is to use the US Air club as it will make things easier for your friend. US does permit one guest free.

US and AA are NOT in a common security zone at BOS. A gate pass may be the answer. Or else do what others are doing.... Buy a refundable US ticket, go to the club, and then refund the ticket.

US and AA are in two separate buildings in BOS -- even though they are both considered terminal B. I do not think you will be able to have your AA companion use the US club.
