Hey, if this is the wrong forum I'm Sorry, I'm still trying to get used to the forum which is great btw.

Anyway, I am planning a trip to Jo'berg with summer (June) and will be going SFO-JNB and have some options and would like some help choosing which airline.

If possible, I'd like to know what each airlines Coach is like and what the pros/cons of the airlines are and if there is anything else I should know

SAA, SWISS, Qatar, KLM, Emirates and Etihad is who I'm choosing from, if there is another airline that flys this route that I'm missing and must know about let me know.

Thanks!

SFF

I can really only comment for SAA, KLM and Emirates.

I have tried both SAA and Emirates from New York not from SFO. I really enjoyed Emirates - they provide a service which focus on the smaller details and made the long journey much easier - really could not stop talking about the 3 stickers - e.g. wake me up for food, duty free, dont wake me up. Their in flight entertainment was also great beacause at the time not every airline had personal tv screens with loads of choices - think that is standard these days but will definately check this out before booking as it is a really LONG flight. I just did not like to connect in Dubai - people are just camping out everywhere

If you want special prices from US look at www.premiertours.com - they sent emails with special rates for SAA.

With SAA at least you could fly direct from atlanta/new york and washington which spare you the hazzle of a stop over but it is a really LONG flight.

Let me know if there is something specific I can answer for you
