Just got an email from VX to join. For anyone not familiar, you can exchange your miles, points or rewards from one program to another. After a quick browse of their site looks like they don't have every airline. Any users? Thoughts?

You can find around 1,000 posts on this message board about points.com. None of them are positive.

How so? After you search, there are way too many threads to look through, and none of them seem to specifically reference Points.com. Is it "Craigslist" bad?

I always perform a good search before I start a thread, I found nothing on this subject.

When you search for something with a space or punctuation in it, you have to surround it by double quotes. Searching for "points.com" pulls up 493 threads, all of which specifically talk about points.com.

It's a very common topic of discussion here. Suffice it to say that the value you get from your miles is a fraction of what you can get by doing other things.

Points.com (unlike selling points on say craigslist or ebay), is endorsed by the airlines.

Points.com - in most cases - provides a VERY poor valu to the consumer.

When exchange from currency A to currency B using points.com, you usually loose 70%-90% of the value.
