SEATTLE - OK, you've got some time to think about it, but if you're an infrequent flier, the next time you try to get on your Alaska, United or American airlines flight, your gate might not be where you're expecting it.
Simply put, the Port of Seattle is making major gate moves.
. . .
- Alaska's gates on the D Concourse are moving to the north satellite, where United's been the dominant player for decades.
- United gates go all the way over to the A concourse on the south end of the airport.
- American, JetBlue and Frontier are going to Alaska's old digs on D.
In addition, a port study of the plan released Tuesday afternoon has Hawaiian going from the A Concourse to the South Satellite, Virgin America from the A Concourse to the B Concourse - and there could be more. Bottom line, the port says almost 1/3 of the gates are switching around.
