India - Online visa for British Citizens of Pakistani origin?

My company is now insisting that I have to visit our Indian office this year. I have been three times before and India is a beautiful country to visit. But I was not looking forward to a lengthy visa process on account of my spouse being born in Pakistan.

The last time I checked the online form I recall that applicants with a connection with Pakistan were required to apply through a different process. Now our secretary has sent me the online form link again but this time I don't see any special message for those of .... origin.

Have things changed or am I missing something?

well, unfortunately you don't have a choice then....the visa will take time to come through....

Sending my application today. Strangely form now asks if grandparents were from Pakistan, not parents. Which is great because my parents were originally from Pakistan, and my grandparents never left India.
