Technical Support and Feedback - Am I the only victim of malware/adware/popups/redirects on FT?
Every time I visit FT (for the past few months) I get redirected to other ad-based webpages, oftentimes I can't use the site because every few seconds im sent to another site.
Am I the only one? This doesn't happen with any other websites, and I've run a couple anti-malware programs, so I don't think it's an issue with my PC.

Nope, never happened to me. Recently while in Asia, I'd get problems where each page would have to be loaded multiple times before it finally loaded all the way in.
Sounds like it's your computer, or something isn't quite right.

Nothing out of the ordinary is happening with me..
weird, this is literally the only website that it happens on. I guess I should focus on my system rather than blame the server...

Never had a problem on my puter with FT. Get yourself some Avast! (http://www.avast.com/index)
What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser?

Bad GreaseMonkey scripts?
I had some malware on a VM once. http://www.malwarebytes.org/ got rid of it, but the malware hijacked my browser so I had to download the software on my main computer and transfer it over. cleaned it right up.

Yeah, no other complaints here on our end. I highly recommend Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html). I've fixed many hacked computers with it. It 'imunizes' your system (mostly with a massive hosts file edit) that makes it so your computer isn't able to access bad sites, effectivly stopping any malicious script from phoning home, stopping everything for long enough for you to get everything clean.
Bumping this thread because I have started experiencing the exact same issue with the site in the last few days. Every time I type in the website URL, it redirects me to a junk website. I'm running Malwarebytes and it says my PC is clean. Also, as the OP stated, the problem doesn't occur with any other site. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

You may have a corrupt local DNS cache; try flushing it.

Thanks - Tried that, no effect. Any other ideas?

Three times in the last two days when I try to log onto flyertalk, unless I click a tab or thread quickly, the browser gets hijacked and redirects me
dksparking.com is the most recent to hijack, which sent me to a gossipcenter.com link on Kim Kardashian's spiritual flight back to tinsel town (March 2012, not even recent!).
anyone else experiencing this?

Sure it's not something on your computer? Take a look at this suggestion offered earlier this year when someone reported a similar problem:

It sounds more like malware that has hijacked your browser, rather than an FT problem.

Your browser is likely infected by redirecting malware;

Yeah it's a browser redirect malware.
Yes. I've been experiencing the same issue, though I seem to end up redirected to different sites each time. Running through some of the suggested steps, but these scanners take a long time to run so nothing definitive yet.
