Has anyone stayed at this property recently? I am attending a conference at the Marriott Grosvenor Square and can't stomach to expense the £280 per night "negoiated" rate, especially if I ever want to be allowed out of the office again.
Looks like it was recently renovated, have all rooms been updated?

At this hotel now, and so far so good. Even though I status matched over to Diamond, the front desk had no idea what it meant. I was "upgraded" from an executive single to a double, which was nice. The room is small, but it is to be expected for London.
The room is very nicely renovated and the bathroom has nice tile and a rain shower head. Room also has flat screen TV, tea/coffee making, and free internet (wired in the room). Wireless is available in the lobby with my code, though mine didn't work. Walls are a little thin, you can hear everything in your room when people are in the hallway.
The fitness center wasn't quite finished and isn't available, though they said to check tomorrow.
All in all, you could do a lot worse for london. The Hyatt is across the street and would have been my preferred hotel, too bad it was twice the price and wouldn't fly on my expense report.
