Happy new year flyers!
Any suggestions/experience/recommendation regarding the dining outlets in downtown Vancouver properties (booked at all three)??
Tea at the Hotel Van??
Pastries at Giovanni??
Raw bar or sushi at the Pacific Rim??
Thanks very much and cheers!

P.S. Had a blast at CLL and BFS - the WS Spa was fabulous, as was Walliser Stube (ask for Patrick). Brunch at the BFS - meh!

Waterfront has a nice Sunday Brunch at their Breakfast Restaurant.
I agree the BVG Brunch is hard to beat at BSH!

Iīve stayed at all downtown Fairmont hotels, but mostly at the Fairmont Pacific Rim which is one of my favourite Fairmont properties:
- afternoon tea at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is one of those classy, somewhat touristy attractions. I personally donīt see the value in doing this regularly, but I guess itīs something one should have done once (most "old" Fairmont hotels offer this as a tourist attraction, and itīs pretty much the same at all properties)
- Giovanni at the Pacific Rim is great for a coffee and piece of cake, they also have a decent lunch offering if youīre in a rush (pizza, salads, paninis), breakfast offering is so-so
- Oru restaurant is great for lunch and dinner, I personally very much enjoyed their selection of pre-fix lunches which consist of four small dishes which were very reasonably priced
- definitely have a drink/cocktail at the lobby bar at the Pacific Rim, itīs really a fantastic experience with the live jazz music (though can be a little loud)

Thanks for the suggestions.^
The outlets in the Pacific Rim appear to be winners. I like the direction this hotel is going in....hip, young, fresh approach for Fairmont. Hoorah :)
I'm looking forward to taking one of those bikes for a spin:D

The signature drink at the Waterfront - Tom Collins with rooftop basil and honey. Bartender is a great kid.
The sugar bun @ Giovanis-Pacific Rim. Outstanding pastry. Get there early, they sell out.
The appetizer taster platter in Heron's. Cornbread crab leg was to die for.
Thomas Haas chocolate welcome amenity - Pacific Rim (best enjoyed in the Signature Suite marble bath with a view of Coal Harbour).
In room coffeemate at the Hotel Van. KIDDING. Ugh, mgmt please put some real cream in the mini bar. PLEASE, coffeemate!
The BMW bikes :)
