US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Upgrades to DEN

I will be traveling DCA-PIT-DEN on Monday, Dec. 2 and DEN-CLT-DCA on Thursday, Dec. 5. I am DM Silver and have 2 DMUPSYS02s left. How tough will it be to get upgraded? I'll be on the 1155A PIT-DEN and the 815 CLT-DEN. I'm not too concerned about the DCA flights.

The monday PIT-DEN flight might be iffy, in the age of reduced capacity.

I'd give you pretty good odds on the return.

I used to regularly hit PIT-DEN and DEN-PIT upgrades as a silver, but that was before the cutbacks.

Ordinarily going west Monday and returning Thursday is asking for trouble in terms of your upgrade chances. OTOH you're heading out mid-day and returning late -- that helps. But with loads the way they've been your chances are probably pretty good regardless.

I flew back from Denver Tuesday. Me & one other passenger and 2 flight attendants in the front of a 321. They probably could have brought everyone in back up front too.
