Can anyone help?

Currently I have 35K preferred miles on 39 segments. Any suggestions on how I can go for the gold for short money.

Your thoughts/reccomendations are appreciated.

You're pretty far off.

I'm about 7,800 off for GP.

My thought was to take a Shuttle run DCA-LGA-BOS-LGA-DCA and accrue the 3x miles for the trip. That gets me 6,000 miles.

Other thoughts?

Washington/London, UK shows $234 r/t for Thanksgiving.

That's 8,092 miles, exclusive of bonuses, etc.

Hmmmm.....that four nights makes the proposition more expensive...

I can get at least 6,000 for about $230 r/t by doing the Shuttle hop and doing it all in one day. I'll have to see if I can toss in an extra leg to PQI or BHB.

hmmm....London or Presque Isle. London/Presque Isle. London or PQI.

dunno, that's a difficult choice!

You can do BOS-LGA-DCA-DAY-DCA-LGA-BOS same day return for $114, gets you 7,000 miles

come up to BOS on the shuttle the night before, hang out downtown have a nice time, get up run to DAY and then take the shuttle back in the evening. 11,000 miles total and dinner at Quincy Market, not too bad.

Dinner at Quincy Market? With all the other great food available in Boston who'd want to eat at the food court? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Just don't eat the clam chowder up there if you live somewhere far away because it will ruin all the other clam chowder anywhere else in the country. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Try the Frankfurt e-saver. fare is about $250 and it is about 8000miles
Frankfurt is a nice town with some good hotel deals.

Thankfully US has not followed NW's example and still gives miles for e-savers.
In fact I even got the GOM bonus on the last transatlantic e-saver to LGW in late october.

I concur.

Go to Europe -- London or Frankfurt sound good.

I don't think Frankfurt itself is all that nice but there are beautiful towns nr. Frankfurt. Drive west to Mainz and then up the Rhine to Koln, or drive south to Heidelberg which really is gorgeous.

Bundle up if you're going to Frankfurt this time of year though.

Frankfurt can be a dull office town but as KV99 points out the re are great places nearby worth exploring. A personal favorite is Bamberg . about 100miles east- A very historic town and one of the great centers of German brewing.
Bundle up if you're going to Frankfurt this time of year though.
London will also be cold and windy.
November is the low tourist season in europe so good accomodation deals should be available.

>"I was thinking more like Durgan Park"

I hear Locke Ober has re-opened and is a tad spiffier with an updated menu and good food.

quincy market = waste of time. (durgin park included) boston's north end, however, is probabaly the best 'little italy' in the country. you can trip into just about any doorway you find and have a terrific meal for reasonable $$$. and it is only a $12 water taxi from the airport.

the dayton run is a great run. same day return. i think you can also add a pit stopover, but as i recall it would mean an overnight in dayton.
