US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Are all segments "segments"?

Flew last week from ATL to BUF. Routing was ATL/PIT/BUF. Two flight numbers, two planes, got two segments and two mileage chunks.

Noticed that the ATL/PIT flight continued on to Burlington, VT (BVT).

Question: If I wanted to visit my aunt Minnie in Burlington and I booked that US flight (ATL/PIT/BVT), would I get two segments and two mileage awards, or is the flight considered a single hop (one-stop)?

I'm planning a mileage run in late December to maintain elite status, and this might figure into my plans?
