Since I don't feel like driving to Texas, I'll have to leave my car at the airport for 22 days during winter break from law school. According to dayton airport website it looks as though economy lot will run $76 for 22 days parking. Anybody know anything cheaper. I can't take a cab because I'm in Bloomington IN which is 60 miles to closest airport (IND). I could take shuttle to IND for $40, but the fare is $90 higher and I have issues with leaving my car parked on street for 22 days.

Since you go to IU, just find someone there to either drive you to DAY or to IND. I know many IU students who live in Indianapolis, and the airport is on the south side of the city. Not very far away for anybody coming up from Bloomington.

I agree -- if you insist on flying out of DAY, find a fellow student who's driving to & from Dayton and hitch a ride.

And just for the record, IND is on the west side of Indianapolis. (I didn't get this screen name for nothin' http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Do you get there by taking the David Letterman Bypass, aka the Dave[? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Dude, $76 bucks is a steal for 22 days parking. Take it and don't look around anymore....there's no way you'll get anything cheaper to the point that it's worth it to do.

I agree with the others, typically IND has better fares, but if you must fly out of DAY there are some motels across from the airport that might give you a better rate since you are gone so long. I believe one of them is the Park Inn that offers long term parking.
