U.K. and Ireland - UK & Ireland Dashboard Feedback Thread
The new dashboard is up! Editing and rearranging of the FAQs will also take place as I get round to it, with transfer of ownership of the content haded over to UK and Ireland FAQ.
Any comments or suggestions, now or at any point in the future, are welcome on this thread.
As are any offers of help for updates and new FAQs! (See the wishlist on the dashboard...) Those of you who offered help on the "what would you like to see" thread - I haven't forgotten you!
I also need to offer kind thanks to Prospero, not only for having the whole dashboard idea in the first place, but for helping me out with InDesign to get the widgets sorted out.

The EDI stuff keeps pointing at the very old restaurant reviews I did in the EDI thread, but since that was becoming increasingly outdated, I actually started a stand alone thread for restaurant reviews which has been running around a year now:

Looks good. I only had a look at a couple of the widgets, but I did look at First Class Rail, and that seems a little out of date and could perhaps offer some links so people can see what each operator offers (e.g. if I didn't know otherwise, from the comments about lounges and onboard service, I might not think it worth it to travel on Virgin First Class between Euston and Manchester, but doing so on each trip back to the UK, I know it includes the lounge at Euston which has showers (which after a transatlantic flight is good to know about), mobile phone chargers, etc. and on board you can get a full meal, including alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, free wifi etc.)

http://www.virgintrains.co.uk/trains/first-class/
I am sure other operators have similar, but I tend to use Virgin more than any other, so know where they are!
It might also be worth mentioning things like weekend on board upgrades for a fixed amount on some routes / operators as well.
Thanks

www.moneysavingexpert.com is the UK's answer to Fatwallet and an invaluable source of just about anything to do with saving money, banking, etc etc
The travel section is pretty good but with 7 million users every month there's always somebody in the Forums who has an answer on something and they're not all broke.

I thought the dashboard looks good - and also appreciate non-visual links for those who might be on smarphone.
Cheers.

HI:
Here's a website set up by a London cabbie which may be useful.
I have no recommendation about him but he was linked via a Greek website which I have often used in the past and which is excellent.

Can I make some suggested changes to the LHR airport transfer Dashboard. In the Rail-Air section for LHR to Watford Junction there is a dead link. I'd suggest it is changed to this one http://www.greenline.co.uk/serviceInformation.aspx?id=12531
Whilst the 724 is still running it stopped serving T5 a while ago and now just runs to Heathrow Central Bus station, for T1, T2 & T3. If travelling to/from T4 or T5 you can catch a free transfer by following the signs to the Heathrow Express.
Also you can get a much cheaper fare by booking through easyBus (http://www.easybus.co.uk/london-heathrow) . This company runs it's own orange liveried mini buses from many London airports to central London but have recently started selling tickets for the LHR-Watford route and rather than using thier own buses the tickets are for use on the 724 Greenline service. Prices can be as low as £1.50 one-way if booked via Easybus compared with a walk-up fare of around £8.50 for the Greenline. I've used this service a couple of time recently and you simply print off a confirmatgion e-mail and present it on the coach. You do need to buy the ticket for a specific coach but it's valid for sevices either one hour before or after should your flight be early or delayed.

A quick update on the above information. Whilst the 724 Greenline service is still running, easybus are no longer selling tickets for the route through their website. You will need to purchase at full fare from the driver :(

I started to doubt it's accuracy as soon as I read the title under the picture of the WELSH Guards!
