I'm trying to determine what caribbean destinations US serves via SJU. What am I interested in connecting via SJU you ask? Because I want to fly the 333 via PHL. I will have two connections but LOVE this aircarft in Envoy.

I tried to look on usairways.com however it does not list the routes, but rather destinations unlike some other airline sites that display the routes between cities they operate.

Thanks.

US Airways only serves San Juan from Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Pittsburgh.

They do not fly from SJU to any other Caribbean destinations (maybe you are confusing US Airways with American, who has a large hub with service to lots of Caribbean points from San Juan).

The increasingly vast US Airways Caribbean network is served from primarily Charlotte and Philadelphia, and a few other U.S. gateways. All US Airways Caribbean flights touch a point in the U.S. mainland though, there is no intra-Caribbean service (the Go Caribbean network in the Bahamas excepted).

Unless something has changed, BizJet is wrong:

How about, other than St. Kitts or Nevis, bizjet is correct. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Also, in the new codeshare with Windward Airlines, pretty much all of their flights leave from St. Martin.

I flew on the 333 PHL-SJU this past July to SJU... We connected to Liat for St. Maarten. That ticket was available on usairways.com and was reasonably priced for a SXM ticket...

What's nice about the 333 to SJU is that most people going there aren't business travelers... Envoy was 80% open and FIRST was empty. All four of us got to upgrade to Envoy... Slept like babies the whole way down.

Liat isn't a codeshare with US, is it?

As we get into cruise season again, you can bet that the entire A330 will typically be filled with tourists on weekends leaving/returning from cruises that are based out of SJU. Therefore, as a DM elite member, you are virtually assured an upgrade to Envoy since most of them are on pacakged deals (i.e. coach).

I used a CS0007 coupon to upgrade a cockroach fare on a trip there in April. The agent booked me in 'F' instead of J, either not realizing the flight was a 3 class plane and just looking for 'F' inventory, or being nice because I am a CP.

So, I had the flat sleeper seat for the 4 hour trip. Whoo hoo!. The F galley was completely empty. All the service was from the Envoy galley behind row 5. So, the glaring difference was the privacy of a 1 row cabin and a flat seat. It was nice to experience what a 7+ hour flight to Europe might feel like.

It was quiet aside from the 2 honeymoon couples who were given an operational upgrade from Envoy. "Honey, what's this funny remote control with the pretty colors on it?".....

I do not think Liat is a code-share, but they must have some type of agreement to allow for connections to take place... Our bags were transferred without a hassle.

Liat is a very basic airline... very old planes... It was nice having the nonstop back on the Sunday... US cuts its weekday service to St. Maarten in the summer.
