Hello,
I am attending the Mobile World Congress 2011 and I am looking for help with hotel recommendations.
I need a reasonably price accommodation from February 13 to 17 that is not far (can be accessible by public transportation).
Thanks in advance.

Hi. I stayed at the Villa Emilia when I visited Barcelona in 2008. Modern hotel, good location - a few minute walk to the metro. We loved it, it was perfect for me and my friend. Close to the city center (easy to get to, a nice walk or easy hop on the metro) but not too touristy in the Eixample neighborhood.
Check out TA reviews - good reviews, highly rated.
Are we allowed to post links? Below are links to the reviews on TA and to the hotel website.

Thanks for your time.
They are sold out.
Cheers.
You could try the Hotel Derby / Gran Derby Barcelona. I stayed there a few nights in August 2010 and found it quite nice, also not too expensive or too far away from everything. Depends of course on what exactly you need.

You should have started looking a year ago if you wanted something closeby and reasonably priced.
Most of the sites for those days are turning up hotels in nearby towns - I saw the APSIS BCN Events come up for something like 60€ - and it's a few blocks from the train station in Castelldefels.
