Virgin America Elevate - Earn 1,500 VX Points for New Crunch Membership

Per this link (http://www.crunch.com/VirginAmerica), you get 1,500 Elevate Points for a new membership if you live in NY, SF, LA or Miami.

What I'm interested in is the "We're offering members and non-members some reallly incredible ways to earn Elevate points and fly for free".

This offer is only open to new members and I can't find anything on the site with ways for current members to earn points. It would be interesting to see if they gave a point per dollar spent every month- would be nice to accrue miles from the gym (besides the obvious way of paying for it on a points earning CC).

Now I'm hoping for Equinox to match!
