Hi all! I found a promotion for free coffee in ORD near the end of last year, but it looks like it hasn't been posted here yet (apologies if it has), so I'm writing to share it.
On the side of the new "Mileage Pro" kiosk in ORD terminal C, located between gates C17 and C19, next to the underpass to terminal B, there is an interactive touch-screen billboard containing a code for a free grande Starbucks coffee. The billboard describes various ways to earn and redeem United Mileage Plus miles. More useful to experienced fliers, however, is the on-screen gimmick which will give you a code for a free grande coffee from Starbucks!

To get the code for free coffee, first touch the billboard to activate it, and then touch the small, green/white "free Starbucks coffee" card on screen (see the right-hand side of the billboard in my picture). That will give you a six-digit number to send a text message to from your cell phone. After sending the text message, you will receive a message back that you can take to any Starbucks in ORD for a free grande coffee.
It's limited to 300 free coffees per day, but given the low visibility of the offer on the billboard itself, I imagine that anyone reading this post should have no problem finding the billboard and getting a free coffee.
Nice way to stretch your legs and also get a little pick-me-up between flights! :)
