US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Fears of extending DMUPSYS certificates

I vaguely recall reading here that FTers have been able to extend both 800-mile and DMUPSYS certificates.

I have a DMUPSYS that expires at the end of Nov. that I might not get a chance to use. However, I'm reluctant to send it to the DM Service Center out of fear that it'll get extended- as a DMUPSYS02.

Anyone tried doing this?

1) I don't recall US ever extending anyone's DMUPSYS certs.

2) If they were extended, I'd be willing to bet dollars to donuts you would get a new DMUPSYS02 and not an old DMUPSYS.

You could try sending in a letter with the certs if they are going to expire anyway ... doesn't sound like you really have anything to lose.

I had no luck extending my DMUPSYS, had to turn them for points. Sorry for the bad news

I read it wrong too; it's from a post on 9/24
(can't figure out how to post link to the topic).

It says you can extend CS007's, not DMP's.

They will not extend a DMUPSYS but they will give you a "grace period" of about 2 weeks. The DM service center needs to put a note on your record saying it is OK.

I just used 2 to LGW that were 3 days old. No problem. I did call res back to make sure they could see the note from the service center.

Thanks, mileshound. That's what I wanted to hear.
