Hey all,

First time using the the EK website.

Want to price a return F itinerary from Europe to Perth, but would like to have a stopover in Dubai on the way back.

Can one do this via the website?

If I use the return function, I can't see "any stopover" buttons.
If I use the schedule function, I also can't see any "add stopover" buttons
If I use the multi-city function, it prices differently..

Thanks!

Try calling EK in Aus on 1300.303.777 and see if they will price it for you over the phone.

You may also get a better deal via a standard travel agent...

I'd always check a couple of sources.

You can do this by choosing "multiple destination" options. Easy!

Apart from multicity there is an option to book with a stopover if you go the long way by saying make a booking.

Price could be higher because stopovers are not free on your fare or because there is a price difference between flights.

Last time I looked I couldn't find the link/option, where does it hide ung1?

Ah sorry, that was on an older version of the site, where they had tabs for return, one way, stop over and multi city. Now multi city is the only way - but it should give you the same price as stopover price...

That was the screen I used to see under the multi-city tab. I think it's what ung1 was alluding to in his posts as well.

How do you navigate there from the site front page?

I cant remember how I originally found it.

However I have had it in lurking in my bookmarks for a few months :)

The link mentioned above does not work - the stopover city cannot be input in the space provided. When I try to use the multi-city function, it prices out at the higher flex fare. The fare rules state I can stopover in DXB in both directions but I cannot seem to make this work on the website.

Ok, I was able to get multi-city to price with a stopover in one direction (either outbound or inbound) but not both? The website wants to call the inbound first leg "onward", not inbound.

That just depends on the availability of saver fares on the dates and flights you have chosen. My workaround is to first sort by price without stopovers but for both dates that you would later fly on to ensure saver is available on both legs.

I look for flights that cannot be connected same day but within 24hrs. If you trying for a longer priod, you will be hit with a stopover pricing.

But the OP wants a stopover, not a one night transit. Also, 'stopover' pricing just depends on the fare conditions. I'm assuming s/he has already checked to see wether they're free.
