US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - US Website won't sell me an Envoy ticket

I was looking for Envoy availability for PIT-FRA on 11/16 returning 11/20. When I choose these dates and pick Envoy, I am told the flight is sold out.
But if I go to AMEX, Travelocity, etc, they are all willing to sell me a ticket, and the (partially reliable indicator) seat maps show 20+ seats open.
ITN shows 7 in all fare buckets on both flights except for F (4 and 6). Whats going on?
Anyone know whats going on? I find it odd that travelocity will sell me a ticket and thats the same engine US uses.
Feel free to verify for yourself!

What's your cockroach factor? Perhaps the website thinks that it knows better.... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Lately I have had a devil of a time with the website. It won't let me buy tickets out of ACY either! I get Sabre Error. The issues all started with an ill fated attempt to make the site easier to use. Three Click To Purchase was what it was called! They conceded to me that the "Upgrade" made the system "Buggy". I am calling tomorrow on the ACY issue and I will report my findings

I noticed the same thing a couple of days ago when I was checking Envoy fares to LGW. All flights came back sold out.

The plot thickens.
I didnt give all these details above, but the 'connecting' flights through CLT and PHL to FRA will show up and allow me to price/book them - I just would obviously prefer the nonstops.
I got bored last night and emailed usairways.com (didnt want to get on the phone that late) and basically asked the same question as I did above. Got a form letter response, the crux of which said:
"In response to your comment, usairways.com
will only show you flights that have available fares
for you to book. If the particular flight you are
looking for does not show up, it may be because it
falls outside of the search criteria that you have
specified, or because the flight is full and there are no
available fares for you to book. "
So suddenly, J fares are unavailable via US, but ok through travelocity, etc. What search criteria should I use? I used the 'more options' button, entered my dates, and chose Envoy for Class of Service..
Before I was just confused as to why this was happening. Now I am upset that they're giving me a form answer as if I had asked why I couldnt find the $245 PIT-FRA fare that I see on orbitz.

Perhaps since Envoy comes with those perks of using the lounge etc that this is the speicific time when US wants you to call so a rep can tell you all the "extras." Just a thought.

USAIR should make it as easy as possible to purchase any fare, business, refundable, or rock bottom cheap. It should have easy to access pop up windows with the rules in clear english. Windows letting you know the features and benefits on each fare and why you should pay more and what you will get.
The more steps you put between a customer and the spending of their money, the less they will spend, why work to buy?

The US site has some real problems. If I try to book a flight from FLO to HGR (visit to moms)I get select the dates but when I continue to select flights I get "05060407 AIR_AVAIL_BY_FARE Error message from SABRE: 1407 FLIGHT UNABLE TO SELL ". It has done this off and on before when 3 legs are involved.
Now if I try this at Travelocity, bingo, no problem. I get my flight and the price. But no online miles.
Go figure!

This is a fair thought, but then why would it allow me to book the connecting J fares through CLT or PHL?
Arrgh.
Before we go on another round of bashing USAirways.com there are some nice things about it:
* It is much easier to find schedules than any other site.
* The Flexible fare finder is great, and again, better than many other sites' ability to do this.
* It's user interface for choosing flights is greatly improved from where it was a year ago.
By all means, give feedback when things are wrong, but it's not a totally terrible site.
I'm guessing the Envoy class thing is just a plain old screw-up. hscottm: did you call USAirways.com technical support? I don't know what the # is off-hand but the Chairman's desk will transfer you.

why are you continuing to try to buy the envoy tkt on the web?
Why wouldn't you go to an agent?
Maybe a good one could find you a better rate than a published envoy fare.
They need to eat too , you know.
Computers dont. Computers don't come to your office and shake your hand and thank you for the business.
