US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Need some preferred miles. . . .
First off, hello. I just found this site a couple of weeks ago and this is my first post.
I have not flown very much in the last few years, so I lost my Silver Preferred status in '01 and '02. Now I'm sitting at about 21,000 preferred miles and I have no plans to fly anywhere for the rest of the year. How can I pick up an additional 4,000 miles to get me back in the game? Is flying the only way to accrue preferred miles?
Also, what does it mean when you call someone a cockroach. I haven't figured that one out yet.

Just sign up for all the Get Out More bonuses in the Bonus Code thread and fly somewhere in October ... anywhere ... pick the cheapest ESaver you can find or find something from Philly that has no minimum stay (Atlanta maybe, you could do a same day trip to and from Atlanta for $158 including tax).
You're going to have to fly to get them basically ... the only other way to get Preferred Miles without flying is to charge 25,000 on a Dividend Miles Platinum Visa card ... that might be a tall order to do before the end of the year.
Welcome to FlyerTalk!
You can only earn Preferred miles by flying. There are currently bonuses available to help increase the number of Preferred Miles you can earn but you must fly to earn.
A cockroach is someone who flies a lot on low fares and takes up valuable upgrade seats and other perks that should belong to high-fare flyers, the only truly loyal USAirways customers. USAirways has been adopting different methods of pest control against these so-called cockroaches. I am a good example of a cockroach, but not as much of a cockroach as a certain maker of deals who flies all over the country on very cheap fares http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

LMAO, Beckles! I am sitting in my room at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta Buckhead, having flown down here PHL-ATL on the $158 RT fare.
Altogether now - La Cucaracha, La Cucaracha.....
Also the triple shuttle bonus. You can fly PHL-LGA-BOS or PHL-BOS-LGA. That's 4000 status miles right there R/T.
That is 100% legit, i.e. you have recourse if the miles don't post.
