Book a package and receive 3 times the miles. I also saw that until the end of the year, book Fairmont and receive 50% bonus miles on your Aerogold Infinite Visa.

I already posted this in the master promo thread a month ago. ;)
From my experience over the last year, youŽd most likely only get 1500 miles, not triple miles of the 750/1000 miles Premier/Platinum members get.
I brought this issue up several times when Fairmont offered double miles and the reply I always received was "You either get 500 bonus miles from the promotion or 500 bonus miles for being a Platinum member, but not both"
Most FairmontAeroplan promos are nice for those who stay at Fairmont hotels once a year, but pretty much useless for Plat members.

Sorry.. forgot that you posted the promo already.. good point about the triple miles being off of the base 500. These Aeroplan Miles bonuses just doesn't really do anything for Elite Members.. We don't get multiplied off of the Elite points, just the points the public receives.

I wouldnŽt mind too much if they gave "500 bonus miles" to everyone during various promos (even though they call it "double miles"), but not giving any bous miles to their most loyal customers is a little unimpressive IMO.

I remember now the discussion.. I would have to agree with you that these type of deals available for the public, is just not worth it for Elite Members. The package rates work in the extra amount of miles cost, and Elite Members probably can get a better rate on another package or rate elsewhere.
