I think that's a fairly standard fare. I booked my SFO trip out of New York on DL for early March for $275 a couple of weeks ago.

Ah, I yearn for the days when JFK - SFO rang in at 229 - 240 RT, AI.

Not a bad fare at all, though. Good use of a 250 dollar e-cert.

I booked Jan 15 back 16 for about the same price, it is not going consider a great MR price, but good for a weekend in NYC.

have you tried SEA, PDX, SAN, LAS connecting through SFO? could be cheaper sometimes.

Connecting through SFO, ostensibly, to a p.s. flight.

I saw this price, actually, but I did not post it here because I did not think it was MR worthy. It is certainly a reasonble price, but I remember when you could do this run in the winter time SFO-JFK for $219 RT. And you'd get into P.S. business. That was a great way to do a MR!

Particularly when you could upgrade with e500s!

I've kind of sworn off p.s. for MRs these days because I'd have to burn RDMs or CR-1s to ugprade, which makes it kind of pricey IMO. Exepmting p.s. from UDU makes transcons via IAD a lot more attractive than they used to be...

But the seats are not as comfy. I think I'm so used to the p.s. C since I fly that so often that I sometimes dread flying domestic F. LOL.

There are several widebody intl config on IAD transcons so it would be just as comfortable but the service wouldn't be as good as p.s.

Pray for better, though this is the time of year when they should be offering their version of rock bottom for the year.

you connect through SFO. ie, JFK-SFO-SEA/PDX/LAS/SAN

The airports you mentioned dont have the PS flights.

Fare is available on peak travel days (FRI/SUN), making this a bit more appealing.
