Hopefully this is the correct place to post this. I'm not making a suggestion to improve the site. Rather, I'm suggesting a business approach for FT. If this has already been suggested or pursued, then I apologize.
Given that FlyerTalk is a low-bandwidth site and as targeted to the flying public as you can get, perhaps GoGo and the airlines would consider including FT as one of the free sites/links from the intro page. It would use negligible bandwidth, and it would encourage many people to get online and stay online - perhaps serving as a great upsell opportunity. FT would benefit, of course, from the extra traffic, and should be willing to pay for the spot, perhaps substantially so, if needed (as it would boost ad revenue via the additional page views).
