I have a morning flight going from Seattle to San Francisco on the morning of January 9th, 2011. I intend to take an evening bus on January 8th, 2011 from either Quickshuttle or Greyhound to the Seatac area and spend the night before. My question is which bus company should I go with? I don't think Greyhound goes all the way to Seatac, but they are cheaper if I book from the web. Since I'll arrive in Seatac later in the evening, I'm just wondering which is the most cost effective way to get there?

Thx!

You can also take AMTRAK from Vancouver to downtown Seattle.... then walk about two blocks and catch the light rail to the airport and then grab a shuttle to a airport hotel.

The train leaves Vancouver at 5:45 pm and arrives in Seattle at 10:10 pm.
The cost is $45
They also have a bus that leaves at 5 and arrives at 8:30 for $40

Is there a reason why you're recommending Amtrak?

Pretty sure Riding the Dog requires a change in Seattle. QS just makes 2 stops in Vancouver and about 3 south of the border.

Amtrak is just an alternative but it wouldn't be my preference to get to SEA unless one was overnighting in DT Seattle. Direct to SEA is better IMHO. Quick Shuttle used to be fast but now they can take a long time (haven't taken them in a while).

If you have access to a Vancouver Entertainment book, there si a 50% coupon in there.

So which one do you recommend? QS is almost double of Greyhound's web-only price.

I'd include how well you know the area in the decision process...

Back in July 2010 I needed to get from YVR to SEA... QuickCoach/Shuttle seemed quite expensive.. but was essentially door-to-door .. which made it a no-brainer for me... as I wasn't familair with either end of that trip!

Ran more or less to the published schedule... and was quite comfortable - for a bus that is!:D
