US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Will redemption draw attention to your account activity?

I was wondering if anyone who has boosted their account balances lately with just a few flights has had anything questioned when trying to redeem for an award?

A friend was flying USAIR recently anyway and had just enrolled so I encouraged him to sign up for all the bonuses before he left. He now has enough miles to take advantage of the monthly special out of Houston.

My question is will someone take a look at his account very closely if he calls to redeem this award?

I realize this may not be an issue for those who fly frequently and normally have a lot of activity in their accounts.

No. Simple answer, reservations makes your award reservations and doesn't have access to your activity.

I don't understand the intent of the question? What "questioning" are you concerned about? If you have the miles, you can burn them any way the airline offers.

CMW probably feels he/she got some bonuses he/she was not entitled to, as many DM members here do. As a result, a US rep seeing those 'mistakes' may go in and correct them, (so we all might think), and then be left with only the legit ones. This is largely paranoia in my view, as they would create a lot of angry passengers!

Reservations will only see your account balance, not your activity. You're safe!
