US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Preferred Level Comps?

I'm in the process of moving from CLE to PIT and will be flying US for business. I made Gold with CO already and will make Platinum due to an upcoming trip to Asia. How do I request a comp to a preferred status in with US. I don't expect to be comped to CP or Gold. I'll be happy with silver because I just want to benefit of getting on the plane early. I've searched on the forums for information requesting comps, but I can't find phone numbers or addresses. If any body has been successful requesting a comp, please tell me how you did it. Who do I call or write to? What should I fax or mail? HELP!

What I did when in a similar situation was fax my recent Delta statement showing my Gold Status and recent activity to the US Dividend Miles Service Center (Fax 336-661-8448) and asked them specifically to comp me to Gold and explaining that I would be making them my primary carrier. They comped me to Gold with no problem.

Just contact the Dividend Miles Service Center (800-872-4738) and explain your request. You should ask for gold and easily should get it based on Platinum with CO (I did!). They will ask you to fax in a copy of your latest OnePass statement. Make sure to get the person's name and send the fax to their attention within an hour of speaking to them (to make sure that they get it before their shift is over). Within a few days you should have your status.

One thing to keep in mind is that you may want to wait until January to make this request since that will guarantee you gold through Feb 2004. If you make the request now and don't fly 50K for the balance of year, it could mean a drop down for 2003!
