US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Share any "tricks" with my company?

So, I arrange for all of my company's travel due to my nose for good fares. Would you qualify others for any bonuses? I could risk a discussion on miles being used for company travel if I do (not sure it's likely but know it's a possibility) but at the same time 2 co-workers and the president have this deep seated affinity for Delta that I would like to change. Prior to my arrival no one knew of ff programs or <$750 tickets existed. The others are usually in-frequent travellers but as we begin moving our corp offices to Naples from Boston there will be a few trips by all. Thoughts?

You should educate them on the programs, and teach them where to find the bonuses, and even tell them about good bonuses when they're out there. But I wouldn't go as far as actually meddling with their account and registering for promotions on their behalf.

As for moving them from DL to US.....let's be realistic. If they have an affinity for Delta, leave them there until the dust settles with US labor negotiations and the company restructuring. How much heat will you take if they start flying and earning points on US only to see it go bankrupt or out of business.

We all love US because we've been loyal customers and have a lot of miles invested. The service is also very good. I have several trips booked through the end of the year for these reasons.

To someone coming on board as a first time flyer, they might think twice before developing a FF relationship with the airline at this point in time.

Since you're from Wilmington, make sure the PPD folk's don't hear all your tricks! It'll for sure be over then!!

I agree with PHL about not switching them to US right now.

You're based in Wilmington, NC, right? I believe that has mainline 737s to Charlotte, but Delta service to Atlanta is all turboprop operated by ASA. That alone would make me switch to US in a heartbeat!
