Hi, i need to take two trips from Vienna and near airports to Los Angeles, in February and May...
What would you prefere? I am ok with economic cabin.
So far is best - VIE-Paris-LAX by AirFrance
or cheaper two segment - BTS/VIE to London and after that Virgin Atlantic to LAX.
I dont mind stop in NYC for 1-2 days:)
Thanks for advice:)

I love flying Virgin Atlantic so much that I would go out of my way (as you would be) to fly them from London to LAX.

My vote is for VS (Virgin Atlantic). Great entertainment system.
For me it would first depend on the costs. If I were with my wife, she would opt for the trip with the fewer stops. Sure, you could build in a stop in New York, but that would likely increase the total cost significantly.

I'm going to use it next month myself. Tried AF in 2009 and were hit by the storm at CDG so I got rerouted with DL via ATL  - basically paying for AF and got no frill. Another issue about AF is that it uses T2 at LAX and it wasn't nice, very chaotic check-in. TSA there was the worst I have ever encountered. Nothing interesting at airside - fortunately we didn't have much time due to long queue through security.

You are describing LAX in general.
At least the Star Alliance lounge is pretty nice.

I found taking Air France yesterday to LAX was pretty painless. I arrived from OSL in CDG at terminal 2G and it was an airside shuttle to 2E , no additional security checks, just passport control. They are nice in that way is that they have a buffet midflight where you can take non alcoholic drinks, some sandwhiches and snacks as you please. They even have ice cream in the buffet... And if you like champagne Air France is for you.

I did this the opposite way; LAX-ZHR-VIE. Pretty easy.
Cheers.
