I'm flying into PBI for the Orange Bowl in a few days. My flight home on Tuesday 1/4 is early (6:55). With the game likely ending after midnight, we won't be getting back to the PBI area until close to 2am. I was going to have my friends just drop me off at the airport and hang around until Security opens (don't see the point in spending $100 for a hotel room for a few hours). My question is, will the areas before security be open for me to sit in or will I have to sit outside until a certain time and the airport itself opens?

I appreciate the help!

As many times as I have been there, it never occurred to me to find out if the place is open 24 hours.

Remember, the weather will be such (projected low 64F) that it would make small difference sitting inside or out.

Unfortunately, for the life of me I cannot visualize where the benches and chairs are out there , but there must be some, probably on the island where the rental car and hotel shuttles stop.

Have a good time at the game. It is a really great experience.

I know that PBI has flights that arrive after midnight, and that leave before 6 am. I think you are fine, but a quick call to the airport (561) 471-7420 may be necessary to confirm your question about security. It would probably be a waste to get a hotel room for about 4 hours. Of course.....you may want/need a shower after all the festivities at the game.;)

There is a decent Crown Plaza right next to the airport with free shuttle if you are interested.
