I just wanted to report that my first flights on Virgin America went smoothly with good service both at the gate and onboard.
The gate staff (more than one!) were helpful to all and were quick to add a gate check tag to my chair and ask if I needed an aisle chair (I don't).
Outbound, my seats were moved up to row 4 several days in advance to make it easier on me. On the return, that happened at the gate.
Onboard, one of the cabin crew came by and asked about any assistance I might need. So, nothing unusual - just everything done exactly right.
On both ends my chair was brought up from the hold without delay.
