California - Weather in San Diego These Days...Specifically Rain

Hi Folks,
Flying into SD on January 12 for a few days of R/R with our two little ones and wife.
Ended up booking nights at the Courtyard by Marriot/Airport-Liberty Station because of the newness of the hotel and proximity to the Airport.
How are things down in Deep Southern California these days? Are the rains wreaking havoc as much as the newspapers report?

Shouldn't be a problem where you're staying. Most of the problems with flooding have been in Mission Valley so if you had booked a hotel in the Hotel Circle area....
Liberty Station is a pretty convenient location. Close to the airport and downtown, easy access to the freeways to get to the tourist attractions. Enjoy your stay in America's Finest City.

There are hundreds of seals here in La Jolla at Children's Pool (http://childrenspool.org/). This is well worth your time. La Jolla is about a 15 minute drive north from where you are staying.
