So I'm booked today ABE-PHL-PIT-GRR, collecting the triple Philly Miles bonus on 2 of three legs. Check in 2 hours early at ABE, am informed the PHL-PIT flite is showing over an hour late and i will misconnect in PIT. Agent says, "I cna put you on the ABE-PIT nonstop and you will make your GRR connection". http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

I reply, "Well if that's the best you can do - I was going for the Philly triple miles promo".

At least this way I make the 6:05 PM PIT-GRR flite which on ITN is showing zeros all the way - maybe a bump will make up for the loss of the Philly bonus.

8324. First posted by FrequentFreak. Inserted into the bonus thread by yours truly. It's been working for me.

Me too. I registered and it just posted for my flight from MHT-PHL-DCA last Sunday. It posted twice as Philadelphia Bonus 500 miles. 1000 miles is the least they can do for putting up with the drama at PHL everyday a cloud passes overhead!

Since it was an involuntary re-route, if you call the DM service center and tell them what happened they can look it up and add the segments you missed.

Most airlines, I believe, will credit you with the flights and bonuses as originally booked, but you do need to contact them. Last Dec, I was booked on CVG-LAX-LAS but the CVG-LAX flight was cancelled so was put on a CVG-LAS direct. I e-mailed the service center afterwards and the flights were credited as booked.

I'd say getting the original routing may not be a problem, but the bonuses may become an issue.

From the program rules:

If a US Airways flight is canceled, the following will apply: Members who are rescheduled on US Airways, US Airways Express or US Airways Shuttle will receive miles for the new itinerary flown. Members who are rescheduled on another carrier will receive credit for the originally scheduled flight(s). Simply obtain a Mileage Adjustment Form from the Customer Service Representative, complete it, and return it for credit. Members who elect not to travel will not receive credit.

In other words, you would have been better off if they booked you on a different carrier, rather than a different US flight.

The flight was not cancelled, it was delayed, causing a mis-connect. The bonus miles should post automatically once the applicable flights are entered.
