Would it be plausible to add in a "like" feature where we can click a like to a statement instead of putting up "i agree" or ":)" or "^,:td:"
I love reading threads but sometimes a statement is followed by 15+ thumps up-esque statements that could easily be relayed with the use of a function similar to the "like" feature on fb.
It's make things neater and keep threats from being 15 pages with less than 20 actual statements.

We has a thread rating function a few years ago and it did not go well. Some posters gave negative ratings to birthday threads. I would not expect to see that back.

I was thinking the same thing, a like or similar button would be great.

Not caring what the problem may have been way back in the day, today's social media has people used to a simple click to say they agree/like what someone posted. No complicated rating or tie to a person's profile/status or whatever FT may have done back then. And I say the time is right for a like-like feature on posts.

yeah i'd stay clear of the negative ratings as FB also does but i think a simple "like" feature would be an easy and much more organized way of expression.

Yeah, I likes easier way to logon from facebook.com accounts. I don't have to logon with username & password anymore. This is better way that I can connects from my facebook.com accounts.

Like the "rate thread" feature built into vbulletin? Tried a while back and failed.

That's the past, times have changed. @:-)

Facebook showed that there can be a simple way of showing you agree, appreciate, or like what someone said. No need for a complicated rating system or tie to any person's reputation or whatever.

Thank you for your suggestion! This is something we have discussed as it has come up a few times.

This is exactly one of the reasons why we are hesitant to build this feature.

You have a great point. It does work in that setting. There are a lot of elements to think through in order to implement it on FlyerTalk.

This suggestion will certainly be added to our queue to be considered.

Thanks for letting us know that it has been on the collective's mind. I do think that as long a it stays in a positive only realm it can really help make FT more streamlined and user friendly.
