Over the forseeable future, I will be flying on US several times and transporting about $8-10 thousand in audio production equipment. About $5000 worth of equipment will be transported as checked baggage. Does anyone know if US offers supplimental baggage insurace to protect against loss, damage, and theft of this kind of stuff? Or, if not, does anyone know about how to insure these things?
For example, has anyone found a way to insure their laptop computers, etc, whilst travelling? Maybe I could cover this equipment in much the same way...?
I've tried to find an insurance agency here in Boston, but none of them seem to insure valuable items against travel mishaps. Any ideas?
