US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Turks & Caicos

My husband and I are going to Turks towards the end of May. Does anyone have any tips, etc. for us, as we have never been. We are staying at the Sands Resort for one night, and then at Club Med for 5 nights. We are flying US Air from PHL to MIA, and then American from MIA to PLS. I had a very hard time trying to get a flight from MIA to Turks, as not too many airlines even fly there.

While I don't have any experience myself with going to Turks/Caicos, my mom (a travel agent) told me that her agency's US Airways sales rep mentioned that the airline will probably expand with new service to Turks/Caicos (from PHL) and Belize (probably from CLT) towards the end of the year.

I know this won't help in your current situation, but perhaps if you decide to go there again in the future your travel plans will be much easier.

Thanks A320 EOW. Of course, US Air will start flying there after we go! We actually are going to Club Med for free. I am using my miles to get to Miami. But, the flight from Miami to Turks is $400 per person, and because there is only very limited flights per day, I also had to get a hotel room ($200) prior to our arrival in Turks.

So, I went from a "free" vacation to already spending $1,000 before I even arrived!
