I'll give the GoFares this - it cut a CLT-LAS roundtrip from $536 to $312 (same dates and flights). Not bad - kept me from driving to Raleigh and flying for only a few dollars less. Now if only we could have something like this on a more or less regular basis ... a man can dream, can't he?

I think it would take an act of God or Southwest to make that dream come true however.

Well, starting in July ATA will help a little to a few destinations at least ... better than nothing!

In fact the lowest base fare once TZ starts MDW-CLT is $20 lower ($138 versus $158) than what US is offering in this "sale".

It seems I'm the only person who cares about this, but Charlotte has gone from one of the most expensive cities in the South to fly to from Chicago, to one of the cheapest. At this moment it's THE cheapest (lower than RDU or anyehere in Florida).

Of course, this only works on the days THEY choose. Or does it work at all??? I looked out about a month for a Friday-Tuesday from CLT-PIT and it's $360. ANYtime during those days... & NOT Mem day wknd.

Of course...Anywhere else nearby feeding CLT, it's $201 (MYR) $209 (CAE) $219 (GSO).

Glad when I moved here I don't have to fly much anymore. US really puts the wood to CLT-eans. As it does with PIT.

For $360 each...I'll drive it.
