Argentina - It's getting to look at lot like Christmas ...

Flights are full. @EZE tonight, the parking lots were also full when I arrived at 8pm (for a 10 pm flight on UA).
Since I could use elite checkin, I was processed quickly, but the lines for economy checkin throughout Terminal A were long and growing fast. I got through security and immigration in 20 minutes, BUT, it was quickly backing up behind me.
So if you're flying in the next few weeks, leave plenty of time to leave for the airport, especially in your don't have status/flying in Y.
Panettone at the UA RCC!

This is my first silly season in Argentina; is it really the mass exodus everyone claims it is?

Pan Dulce argentino is a little too sweet for my liking, but if anyone's interested, here's a comparison from a local: http://www.lanacion.com.ar/nota.asp?nota_id=1331652

I know Frank, so I've tasted the entire Sugar & Spice line of products :D
I did suggest to him once it was time to concentrate on the "Spice" part. I think he's covered the "Sugar" part sufficiently.

Most all chain wine store will carry some brand of Pannetone or Pan Dulce... most have a brand called Colsani, which is better than supermarket grade stuff, but nothing special.
I do not carry this item, as to make it worth it I would have to purchase rather large quantities, so Ive never entered into this line of business. I will make a purchase from time to time but only if I have a corporate customer lined up and can immediatetly flip it downstream.... but what I do not do is regularly stock these and sell them by the unit.
The folks at Sugar & Spice want us to sell their stuff and we have had a few meetings this year, but I in the end decided against adding yet another product to my offering.... dunno, maybe next year I may carry the stuff but I will decide this sometime during the 2nd semester of 2011.

Or I can simply bring cases of "getting stale" Pan de Pascua chileno that is always on super-clearance when I'm there after the 25th. :D I'll have to check if it is Industria Argentina.

Do wine shops sell them by any chance?Hiddy if you're looking for Panettone, Jumbo have a whole aisle devoted to the stuff at this time of year (including Sugar & Spice). But probably they're not carrying any imported (Italian) brands as in years past.

Imported stuff? How'd that make it's way through the Kirchner imported food blockade?

The blockade is selective... it depends who is importing it.... the devil is in the details. Plenty of imported goods to be had, but it is true that some stuff is being blocked.
