US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Please help me get up to speed

I'm a regular flier on United (1K) but will be traveling to a city that they don't serve for the next 6-12 months (ORD-ERI).

I know that I should request Chairman's Preferred status (but expect Gold). But what I was really wondering if someone who is a regular on this board could get me up to speed on some of the ins and outs of flying US Airways. Is there an "unofficial" web site I should check out? Or could you point out some specific threads to read here? I've done some reading but since there is a lot of information (and of course misinformation) out there I'd appreciate if someone can help me along.

If you wanted to keep flying United, you could fly ORD-PIT non-stop on United and drive (with a few stops http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif) up to Erie. It's a two hour drive. Just an option.

USAirways does not competitive comp to its top level, but they should cheerfully give you Gold.

There is an unofficial USAirways page under development. Look for 'unofficial' post by markbach on this forum.

USAirways is a relatively simple program that doesn't require much new information, so fly and enjoy.
