Well, it's official - CLT will only have FRA and LGW service, while PIT gets LGW, FRA, and CDG. From today's Charlotte Observer

Visiting Paris? You'll be going the long way
It turns out we won't always have Paris.
US Airways said Wednesday it will not reinstate the Charlotte/Paris flight that was taken out of service after the Sept. 11 attacks, at least not this year. The airline, however, is reinstating the Charlotte/Frankfurt flight on May 4.
What does it say about a city, that it gets service to Frankfurt, but not to Paris? Are we workers, rather than lovers?
Maybe. The Paris flight was filled primarily by leisure fliers and wasn't profitable. The Frankfurt flight attracted more business fliers, who pay higher fares.
Unlike Charlotte, US Airways' hub in Pittsburgh will regain its Paris flight on March 16. Pittsburgh will have nonstop service to London, Paris and Frankfurt, while Charlotte will have London and Frankfurt. The Pittsburgh hub attracts more business fliers because it serves the heavily populated Northeast.
Charlotte is a business market, but the area is less populated. Still, the airport also retains a daily British Airways flight to London Heathrow, with a stop in Baltimore.
