Gaming Loyalty Programs - Grazie - Change in the # of offers?

I used to get a few slot offers per week, and I've gotten a lot of great marketing offers over the last year or so. I'm pretty sure I've been increasing the amount I gamble with every trip, so I don't think they would be blocking me from promos for not playing @ my normal level.

I looked at my account a few weeks back and again tonight, and I'm seeing a major change.

There are no currently available offers. There's one event listed for later this month, but after clicking on the link there's a notice that it's been cancelled.

No December MSO on my account.

Jan & Feb have only a Benvenuto block, but when I click on the link I get an error ("there are no more complimentary suites available under this promotion").

I thought it might be a temporary thing, but now I'm getting worried :(

Is anyone else seeing this on their account?

Yes, I've noticed a reduction in the Grazie offers as well... while the MGM and Harrah's offers keep rolling in.

Saw a post on another forum that a test January offer started to show up for Tier 1 through Tier 4 Grazie members.

The MGM offers I've been getting aren't anything remarkable, but I guess that's to be expected since I didn't spend a lot in their casinos :)

I wouldn't mind if Grazie maybe got a little tighter with the offers, or reduced the value of the offers, but the complete shutdown is pretty extreme.

I was hoping the offers would hit today since it is now 2011, but still nothing for me. So it's not just you.

Agreed. I kept my gold card but still have zero offers!

Besides just a general tightening of offers, it could also be a computer "glitch".
Several years ago, before the total rewards program, I played exclusively at Caesars in Atlantic City, and was receiving nice offers on a regular basis and then (like turning a water faucet off) the mailings totally stopped (not even informational ones)--there was some glitch in their computer system.
Contact your host or vip services to find out.

I don't have any offers either. I remember about two years ago there was a lull in the offers at the beginning of the year as well. Don't remember if there was one last year.

Only if your average bet is $3 per spin and play for more than 6 hours a day ... then you will receive promos

No offers listed for me this year either. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted-time to check out some different casinos...

Affirmative :)The next time you contact them, I'd appreciate it if you'd share whatever info you can.

I'm going to call in a few days (only fair to let them rest after CES :p) and see what they'll offer me (I think I'm T5).

I've got comp offers for many CET properties. Ok, most of them are for the craphole rooms. But I'm not there to spend time in the room.

I've got a lot of favorite places to eat @ Palazzo, and I love the Canyon Ranch Spa, but I suppose I can find new favorites @ other properties.

I haven't called yet, but saw an update online.

(Sorry, don't know how to link to specific wall posts)

Look for "Chinese New Year Decor".

A user has posted this info. The Palazzo responded, and didn't dispute it, so I guess that's as good as confirming it :)

It's a beautiful place but on 1/12/2011 a director of player development there told me that there would be no further "deals" because they are now exclusively concentrating on the convention crowd because the economy has picked up sufficien...tly that their occupancy is nearly full almost daily so they "really don't need to give out any comps anymore." If you pay casino rates and play hard enough, they might comp you a meal or two and perhaps a day or so on your room stay.

the entire exchange, for those not on Facebook.

I've also verified the same, personally, with a member of the Marketing/Player Development team.

Of course, always taken with a 'grain of salt' --- since Casino Marketing is often quite fickle; and things are truly a YMMV situation.

MGM and Caesars entertainment group are still giving comped rooms.

The Palazzo Las Vegas : Thank you for your feedback, it is appreciated. Guests are always welcome to check availability with our Marketing Team, complimentary offers are based on rated table and slot game play, and are subject to availability.

anon guest : Just to respond to the canned comment from Palazzo, I had 6 trips to Vegas in 2010, my status points were in excess of 135,000 and still the lines of "rated game play" and "subject to availability" keep popping up. I'm offended and I think you are about to experience just how much gambling convention and conferences generate. Thanks for the past 4 years. Good while it lasted.

Interesting. I haven't contacted Grazie for comped rooms as I have mostly been doing day trips for the past year and if I do stay overnight I go with Hilton/Hyatt to get a stay in since it's so inexpensive. I'll see if I can get a hold of my old host who left for GVR.

More data-points are always helpful. ;)

Most of my 'real-play' is in Atlantic City; so I can't really speak to Vegas very much (except, in a more general sense). ;)

Historically I've never had a problem getting 2 or 3 nights comp at the V/P whenever I wanted it. Last year it was just the Mrs. getting the mailers, she had one through 12/31, today she was quoted $179 weekdays, I was quoted $129 weekdays, plus $17 resort fees of course. My former host who left V for GVR is now doing freelance junkets out of Schenectady.

Plenty of CET comp offers still.

It's official :

We've essentially cut all of our comps except our most highly-rated players," he said. "No more comped rooms. No food and beverage. No showroom credits. We're selling rooms. We see it's resulting in a substantial increase in cash income.

Interesting I got the same offer for ther room prices, slightly lower comps. My offer code was CAPS2N. Paying $189 for weekend nights plus tax and resort fee will not get me to stay with them.

Got the following email today:

I received the same offer. Two months ago their postion was "you're just not that important to us anymore" and now it's "thank you for your patience during this period that we tried to change our business model. We may still continue to do so, but in the meantime we're trying to string you along with mediocre offers." Also, whose idea is it to start the offer letter with a bunch of percentages on theoretical wins? I was glazed over and barely noticed the actual offer at the end of the letter before it hit the bottom of the recycling bin.
