Hi All,
I own a Lexus and one of the owner benefits with Fairmont is Premier status after 2 stays or 2 nights. I signed up for the promotion and had a 2-night stay at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston last month. My question, how long will it take for my account to be upgraded to Premier Status? I called Customer Service and they said the membership levels do not change until February. Is this true? I have a stay coming up at the end of the month and I would like to take advantage of the Premier benefits. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

Not true. I would call back, and make sure the promo code is attached to your profile. They should be able to do it manually either instantly, or within a week.

The membership levels should change immediately.. Lexus would have provided a code for you to quote to Premier Loyalty desk to do the instant upgrade.. If like the AMEX Plat program, they'll conduct an audit, and you should be able to use the Premier benefits immediately if they authorize it. Early Premier/Platinum qualification guarantee ends officially Sept 30th of each calendar year. History of FPC shows that they allow early upgrades after September 30th of calendar year as well.. I have never been denied personally the status upgrade after September 30th. Ask about an exception, and you should be able to get it. They may just post your certificates electronically before you ever receive the kit.. but the benefits are the same. I've received qualification changes all over the calendar year, over the years.. This would be the likely scenario.^

So, what's the deal here. I have a Lexus. Do you have to have purchased one within a certain time period? How can I get a code? (I already have premiere, but it'll be good for 2012, if I can get it).

I would contact Lexus or FPC for complete details.

Only thing I've seen is off of Lexus.com where it tells you "Accelerate your Club status to Premier after staying for two nights, consecutive or not. Normally takes five stays or 10 nights." and lists a bunch of valid hotels.

To see it:

Go to Lexus.com
At the bottom, highlight "About Lexus" and click "Owner Benefits"
At the top-left, click "Benefits and Events"
Click on "Fairmont" in the "Hotels & Resorts" section

I'd assume there is a line for Lexus that would have details as well but couldn't find it through the site.

Some FTers found a way to do it without owning a Lexus: :D

We never did get back any confirmation that just using a VIN actually works.. We just need a guinea pig to try it out and report back.:D

I registered on the lexus.com site and it knew my VIN just from my name and address.

The link it gives you to register for the promotion is the link to sign up for a new FPC membership. I'm not sure how to do it for an existing one. In any case, since I'm already Premiere for 2011, I guess I should wait until January to do this, so I can get it for 2012?

Should work for 2011, and 2012 if you enter the info. You can call FPC to double check.
