US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - US DM Visa

Has anyone recently received their 10,000 preferred miles from using the BOA DM Visa? I know on prior posts we could not get a good start date on when the promotion went into effect or if they pro-rated the required $25,000 charged to the card.

I charged more than $12,500 since April and did not receive the "additional" 10000 preferred miles. While some indicated in previous posts it would be prorated, no one at Bank of America or DM customer service could verify that. They just quoted the info from the website, that $25000 was required for 2001. Now, the counters are reset to 0 for January 1, so I don't know how we would know if something did happen...other than receiving additional upgrade certs in the mail.

When did you get upgrades?
I charged about 40k/last year.
Its great, the prefered miles came in dec, and left after the first of the year. USELESS for me this year!

Just received a message from US Airways regarding BOA DM Visa's 10,000 prefered miles:

"YOU HAVE REACHED $25,000 IN PURCHASES ON YOUR DIVIDEND MILES VISA PLATINUM CARD.

In appreciation for purchasing US$25,000 or more with your Dividend Miles Visa Platinum card since June 1, 2001, 10,000 of the miles you have already earned will be credited toward your Preferred status. These miles have been added to your 2001 Year-to-Date Preferred Miles balance."

Therefore, these 10,000 preferred miles are not "additional" bonus miles, but rather converted from the miles earned from BOA DM Visa card.

My 2001 prefereed miles increased by 10,000 but my DM balance did not change. It was useless for me since I have already re-qualified CP for 2002.

It's not useless since the "excess" Q miles for a "real" (100,000 mile or 100 segment) CP are being carryed over to 2002 this year.
