The botton line: You do not earn miles. A normal award is 30K - so you are paying $125 for 5,000 miles or $225 for 10,000 miles.

Considering the fares are pretty high, I'm tempted. But since the standard 'award' rules apply, I take it that means I can't upgrade.

I'm trying to meet my parents in STT late April, but the fares for my travel preferences are pretty high. There's always the A330 service from PHL-SJU, which would make the trip go nicer.

A330 to SJU!!! I love the A330 and the wife will not go across the pond so this is a nice alternative. I have to look into that - but not for this offer. And only 2 coupons!!!
