Hi, first time visitor to Babados here. I will arrive Babados on Sat afternoon at 2pm from Toronto and will depart Babados on Wed night to Trinidad on Wed night at 9pm. Seems I will have 4+ full days:
Sat (arrive at 2pm from Toronto)
Sun
Mon
Tue
Wed (depart at 9pm to Trinidad)
Is 4+ days too short to see everything? Is there a lot to see in Babados? I will have a rental car. Since I will have couple more islands to catch, how many days in Barbados is moderately good? I still have not booked anything yet, so my schedule is pretty flexible.
Thanks for any advice in advance!;)

Thanks for any advice in advance!;)The island is not huge, so four days is plenty for driving around. I love Barbados for things that aren't that taxing: lie on the beach, swim in the ocean or the pool, go to some nice restaurants, watch a hockey game at Bert's, etc.
How much time have you planned for POS? Whatever it is, it might be too much. Other than chatting with Trinis and having a few nice meals, POS is not so interesting.

Hi Seat13F_AC_CRJ, thank you for your advice! I will stay 1 night at the POS airport hotel (Holiday Inn Express most likely) for transit purpose, and the next early morning at 7:30am I will be flying to Curacao for another 4 nights, and then 5 more nights at Bonaire.
For option 1, 1 night transit at POS won't waste any time on my trip since I will get there late at night and depart early the next morning at 7:30am. If I choose option 2, then it will save me trouble for staying 1 night at POS. Have you been to both BGI and CUR? Which place is more interesting?

For doing a quick overnight/transit in POS, the HI Express is the absolute best choice. It is located on 5 mins from the airport. Other reasonable choices for accommodation are 45 mins away in downtown POS, much longer at rush hour. But if you can schedule your flights to skip the layover in POS, I would. I try not to spend single nights in hotels whether travelling for business or pleasure. Note -- if you are doing a quick transit in POS, you may need to go landside to check in for your connecting flight.
For a relaxing holiday, I prefer BGI over CUR. For restaurants, I judge the two equally on selection, with CUR perhaps a tad less costly. Culture & history: CUR may have a slight edge.
Full disclosure: I am not a diver. When I stay at the CUR Hilton (Marriott is only a few hundred metres away), I often see snorklers and divers enter the water directly from the hotel beach. And with so many days in BON, my conclusion is that you are a diver. I drove around a bit on both CUR and BON in September. CUR has something resembling a motorway, there is major industry, fast food, etc., in additiona to the UNESCO classified historic town centre. BON very relaxed.
Have fun.

Hi Seat13F_AC_CRJ, thanks again for the extremely usually info. I have checked with expertflyer.com for all the possible flights from BGI to CUR. They all have to go through POS by Liat Airlines and very few flights by Caribbean Ailrines go through SXM with long transfer time for the connecting flight to CUR by Insel Air or Dutch Antilles Ex. If I won't stay overnight at POS , then I will need to take the direct flight LI 771 (still with a 30 mins stop at POS), so do I need to go to landside to check in again for the connecting flight? The first and second segments are also same flight# LI 771.

Yes, you get me right! I'm a diver, that's why I don't want to shorten the stay in BON for CUR or BGI. I guess the highlight of my stay will be BON.;)

In fact, you might not even need to deplane. I mentioned the landside thing because there are several carriers operating BGI-POS and they don't tend to have interline/baggage transfer agreements in place.
One tip about LI, it is free seating. Try to be near the front of the queue when boarding. If it's a full flight, take the first row (when the load is light, the first row is not used), otherwuise take your pick. Exit rows on the DH1's are quite spacious.

Free seating makes me nervous:D, but without having to deplane and re-check in balance it off. Thanks again for the additional info & tips!^
