Are they any different, or are all US Airways Clubs pretty standard?
Vote for your favorite US Airways Club hub location and non-hub location. (Envoy Lounge doesn't count http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif)
For me:
Hub: Charlotte between A and B, where the Business Center is(spacious, nice view at the back, big bar)
Non-hub: Tampa (brand new, fantastic view, huge, great staff), but I hear that the new RDU club is also fantastic.
Honorable mention: Orlando for the interesting "duplex"

I have been only to 3 different clubs. (LAX, PHL & PIT). My rankings of them are as follows:
PHL- Best of the three. They have apples, single chewy granola bars (I am watching fat and calories), & PHL airport have internet (I do not like to lug a laptop all over Europe because I pack light--1 carryon & maybe one small day bag).
LAX & PIT--both adequate clubs. PIT was a little skimpy on food--only pretzels. No internet in the PIT airport. LAX was visited in the early morning. Had small muffins, orange juice, etc.
Glad to hear that the TPA club is nice. Will be going to TPA this Friday-Sunday. Flying United. (can't beat the $154 fare--used expiring $150 bump voucher & only $4 on credit card. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
Question, is US & UA in the same terminal? I would like to use the US club.
Thanks,

My Comments:
Charlotte w/ the huge business center, bar, smoking section.
RDU - nothing special at all...unless there is more than one, you've been mislead on this one.
Philly - Nice and roomy. I really like this one as well.
LAX - nice and comfy.
SFO - believe there is one there and I think I was stuck there once. Smallish, but not bad at all.
Older one in Charlotte - small and crowded.

Hub-
PHL--usually not too crowded
PIT--usually too crowded
CLT--The accents drive me crazy (but it is a nice club)
Non Hub-
LAX--Just nice to have a refuge from the Chaos that is LAX, especially when you are delayed and your return options are limited.

I haven't been in many, but DCA seemed pretty nice to me. It's over the concourse, so you can either look out to watch the planes, or you can nosily people watch as people are passing into security. Nice and roomy, what looked like a decent bar (they made a mean diet coke http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif), and what looked like portable phones for... I'm not sure what for. I meant to figure out what they were but never did.

My favorite clubs are the ones that haven't been CLOSED. (yet)

My absolute favorite, and home away from home is PHL. It is spacious, has great views of the tarmac, and has the best staff--especially the bartenders, Karin, Fran and Joe. The agents are always friendly and helpful. Layovers are always a pleasure in PHL (even lengthy delays become somewhat bearable).

Hub: Charlotte - between C & D Concourses. Big, but never seeming crowded. Plus, I seem to know all of the bartenders. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif
Honorable Mention Hub: PHL. While long - always seems to have plenty of seats and a nice view of portions of the B & C Concourses.
Non-hub: (Tie) SFO - not real crowded, just feels nice; and DCA big and plush - plus fairly new.
Honorable Mention Hub: MCO - like BizJet, I think the twin level design is quite cool.
ebell: the portable phones are just your garden variety cordless phones. They're nice to have around if you don't want to be tethered to a landline, and that you don't want to use your cell phone. No idea what kind of in club range they have.

I love that foodguy to death, but who taught him those manners? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
I was in LA last week, and when the flight I was on cancelled, the fantastic agent at the club had me protected 2 different ways--and then they reinstated the flight.
The LA club is also a great respite from the madness of that other airline US cohabitates with in LA....(OK, I'm a bit of a snob)

Any idea where I can buy that mix with the pistachios, mini pretzels, cheezy bits, etc., found at the envoy lounge? Really like the stuff.....

Have you been to the new one that opened about a month (or less) ago?
