US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - 3 Hours in PHL

Our short mileage run (husband needs 68 miles to requalify for Silver) will leave us "stranded" in PHL for 3 hours early tomorrow evening. I haven't been to PHL in ages, so I'm not very familiar with it. Would it be feasible to actually leave PHL and go somewhere outside the airport to eat, or should we just eat at TGI Friday's and sulk in the lounge for the remainder of our time? Thanks for your input! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I haven't left the PHL airport with only 3 hours between flights because I didn't believe I had time to do anything else.

If I was able to keep myself occupied in PHL duing a 6 hour layover, then you should be ok with 3 hours http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

The problem is that PHL has had some horrendous lines waiting to get through security - both A B and C terminals have been bad, bad, bad at times.
I don't suggest you leave the secure area for only three hours worth of layover.
Go to the club; go to the Godiva shop; go to Sharper Image and sit in one of the vibrating chairs.

Stay in the airport. Especially after dark.
If you're stuck in the airport, I highly recommend the rocking chairs between the B and C gates. They're much more comfy than seats at any gate.

I would stay in the airport. I came back from Rome a few weeks ago & had to reenter security. The security had two lines (one for 'A' gates & the other for 'B-F' gates. The B-F line was quite long. My flight was leaving from the 'A' gate (short line) but since it was not on their list, I had to wait in the loooong security line.

Thanks for everyone's responses. We did stay at PHL, and I have 3 words to describe our experience:
