Mexico - Going to Cancun alone for new years?

Would you recommend going to Cancun alone? Friends are unavailable to go but I want to go away to somewhere warm for the holidays.

Will I feel awkward or bored? Will it be easy to meet people there and do some sightseeing?

I've never traveled alone before, and Cancun isn't like Europe where lots of people do it alone. Love to hear your thoughts

If you want to go, just do it!!! i used to always want to travel and my friends would back out. For years i never went anywhere because of it. Then one summer i decided to go to europe by myself. Best decision i ever made.

I say just do it and have a blast.

Just do it! Enjoy your life and I am sure there will be many other singles in Cancun to meet and party!

I do it quite often. I would say, GO, grab your bag and GO!!!

Plenty of things to do and people to meet. If you decide to stay in Cancun, there are plenty of things to do at places like Centro Comercial La Isla or the other one in downtown Cancun. If would also recomend you go to Playa del Carmen to tons of bars where you can meet people and have a great time.

I love Cancun, specially if I go to a good hotel and just relax, read some books or play some golf. A lot of times I go by myself, as friends aren´t willing to travel as often as I do. They just spent tons of money on other things and then say they do not have money to travel on weekends.
