Nov. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Fairmont Raffles Holdings International plans to add six hotels under its Swissotel brand in India in the next five years to tap the growing demand for business travel in the country.
The operator of hotels plans to open one hotel each in Gurgaon, near New Delhi, and Bangalore in 2013, said Aiden McAuley, vice president of Asia-Pacific region for Swissotel Hotels & Resorts. Swissotel gets about half its revenue from the region, he said in an interview in Mumbai today.

Weird.. they should umbrella under Fairmont to make it more global. What's the rationale have 3 different brands?

I think Swissotel is much more recognized in certain areas. Just a guess tho. I agree with you.
