Is everyone still getting their upgrade certificates for the 10k/20k miles flown? Wasn't it 2 certificates for every 10K and an extra 2 for every 20K? Just wondering if I'm the only one being left out.

Golds get 8 NAUs for 10k then an extra 2 every 20k. allpoints Nov 5, 01, 1:25 pm Thanks for clearing that up for me Chexfan..you see its been so long since I got my upgrades, I forgot how they worked. Anyway, have you been getting your upgrades? And if so how long has it been taking to get them? joanek Nov 5, 01, 1:51 pm I called US with the "how long for upgrade certs" question earlier today. The answer: "it's taking a long time." The certificates are being sent from some vendor in New York---the Gold desk apologized for the delay... I'll contact Customer Service and report back. chexfan Nov 5, 01, 2:16 pm remember that your 10k mileage counter resets on 3/1 and everytime you reach a new preferred level. Daniel Nov 5, 01, 3:06 pm I have been waiting for 8 certificates since about 9/5. I was told there were delays due to mailing cutoffs from 9/11 but this is getting to be two months now... syzygy8 Nov 5, 01, 3:31 pm This happened to me earlier this year when I waited for what seemed like months before any certs came. (They've been better for me lately). After waiting far too long for them to come in the mail, I called the Gold desk at the beginning of my 3 day window before my upcoming flights. I explained the situation. They apologized profusely and upgraded me as a customer service. No certs needed. That was probably one of the finest levels of customer satisfaction giveaways I've gotten from US. m60 Nov 5, 01, 4:20 pm Just got 8 NAUs after 3 month wait. I did email once, but got no reply. JaC Nov 7, 01, 5:28 pm Is that 10,000 actual miles or 10,000 earned miles? chexfan Nov 7, 01, 5:50 pm Originally posted by JaC: Is that 10,000 actual miles or 10,000 earned miles?Actual miles flown (even the double status miles for NC/GA resident promo didn't doubly count towards NAUs) silverpie Nov 7, 01, 9:29 pm Originally posted by chexfan: Originally posted by JaC: Is that 10,000 actual miles or 10,000 earned miles?Actual miles flown (even the double status miles for NC/GA resident promo didn't doubly count towards NAUs) Does at least the 500-mile minimum count? I'd hate to only be tallying 242 on each of my CLT-CHA hops... davohuang Nov 8, 01, 11:50 pm Yes, the 500-mile minimum does count.
